Title: Match box Description: matchbox with wax matches Made from metal, wood, wax, and potassium chlorate. A rectangular box made of metal with a hinged lid. Raised text on the box reads: NO 4/ R. BELL & CO/ EST BD 1832. The underside of the tin has a rough texture for striking matches on. Inside the tin is a guard creating a container for matches. Inside the container is wooden matches that have been waxed with red potassium chlorate heads.
