Taxco Sterling Silver Screw Back Earrings c1950s
These pretty sterling silver leaf screw back earrings were made in Taxco, Mexico by famed artisan Antonio Reina. Both are in good vintage condition with no issues. They have some tarnish on them, mostly in back. Each measures 1 1/4 by 5/8 inches and combined weigh 8 grams. One of the earrings is hallmarked Sterling Taxco and the other is hallmarked Hecho En Mexico 925 in a circle around AAR. Antonio Reina was one of the initial silversmiths that worked at Margot de Taxco when it opened in 1948.
