Bake at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4 in (6 mm) thickness. DO NOT MICROWAVE. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Work ‘n Bake Clay Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. We suggest using an oven thermometer to ensure your oven is at the correct temperature to avoid over-baking. After curing, you can carve, drill, sand or paint the clay. Do not use a microwave oven for baking or use the product with a wire or hot knife. Be careful not to exceed recommended baking times, and do not allow the clay to come in contact with an open flame. Uncured, soft Super Sculpey Ultralight™ should not be placed on varnished or painted surfaces as the clay's plasticizers will dissolve these materials. Uncured Sculpey® clay may also be affected by solvent-based paints. Do not place unbaked clay on fabric, carpeting, plastic, flooring or furniture. A metal sheet, ceramic tile, index card, aluminum foil or the Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Work Mat are all acceptable work surfaces.
