The Creative Grids 6-inch square features large black numbers printed on white for easy reading. Black and white markings printed in 1-inch grids (marked in 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch increments). White and black dashed lines on 1/2-inch markings are visible on light and dark fabrics. Embedded grippers hold fabric when cutting. Creative Grids Basic Range 6in Square Quilt Ruler Keep it simple! The Basic Range series does just that they are easy to see and easy to read. By eliminating the 1/8 inch markings and the Turn a Round feature, literally over half of the markings are removed. The remaining 1/4 inch; 1/2 inch and 1 inch markings are printed with a whole inch grid. That’s right without the Turn-a-Round feature, a 6 inch ruler truly measures six inches not 6-1/2 inches.
