Bimbo, a cartoon dog, made his screen debut in 1930 as the animated star of Fleischer Studios’ Hot Dog. Bimbo next played Betty Boop’s boyfriend in the popular Talkartoons series, produced from 1929 to 1932. These three vertical flip or flick books depict six illustration series or separate moving vignettes two to a book that show Bimbo, and other frolicking dog-like cartoon characters, at play or engaged in such sports as boxing and baseball.
