French 19th Century Iron Bookbinding Press - Fireside Antiques
By A Mystery Man Writer
Description
Dimensions: 13”H x 12”W x 14”D This antique paper binding press was forged in 19th century France. The classic "Presse a Relier" made of solid iron is almost square in shape with a screw hole to attach it to the table. Recently cleaned, the press is still in working order. In the past, this kind of “machine” was used to press the book's sheets together before receiving a bookbinding. Decorate a shelf with this wonderful accessory in a study or library!
