AMACO Transparent Pearll Opalescent Glaze comes in a container of 1 pt. capacity. Glaze is brushed over a contrasting colored underglaze or clay body to get a dramatized effect. Pearl-like colored glaze flows or pools in texture and is applied on cone 04 bisque for great results.

Opalescent glazes require multiple coats dipped or brushed, and then fired slowly, with ample time to cool slowly. This will allow the glaze to flow and create that mother-of-pearl iridescence on a smooth or textured surface.
Amaco Opalescent Glaze Mottled Burgundy
A liquid, ready-to-use glaze with a high gloss and an iridescence similar to mother-of-pearl. While glazes can be used on any Amaco clay, they develop their greatest opalescence and most interesting textures when applied over Amaco #67 Sedona Red clay. Best results are achieved with three or four applications. On textured ware, the glaze flows thin on relief and thick in incised areas, accenting details. Apply on bisque by brushing, dipping or pouring.
