Double-wall stovepipe features a laser-welded stainless steel flue and heavy-duty 24-gauge steel casing, maximizing safety during operation and providing a clean appearance and installation. Features Insulation shield must be used anytime the chimney system passes through an attic. TGIS is used to prevent the insulation from coming in contact with the pipe. This part is required in any attic pass-through situation, regardless if insulation is present or not. Note: 14 - 18 insulation shield is not available, attic installation is not intended for these sizes. The attic insulation shield is used in through the ceiling installations to prevent insulation and other debris from contacting the chimney in the attic. The attic insulation shield is placed above the Ceiling Support Box on top of the framing of the ceiling where the chimney passes through the attic.
